Louise Rowley is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where she studied Fine Art and Photography from 2000-2004.
After working as a medical photographer in Oxford Louise continued her studies, completing a masters in Illustration in Design in 2007.
Briefly working within the greetings card industry, she then spent the next eight years establishing a career in visual merchandising, winning international recognition for her shop window designs and displays.
Louise is based in York and now works as a freelance illustrator and designer, launching Rowley Illustration in 2020.
Alongside her passion for image making and character development Louise continues to work creatively within the community, founding a mental health initiative 'Room to Bloom' in 2018.
Based within a hive of other creatives, Louise has recently joined Pica Studios in the centre of York where she works on; childrens book illustrations, character development, stop motion animation and continues to embrace a love for collage.
